LET'S PLAY GOLF!

It looks like spring has finally arrived!! The course is in excellent condition and is just begging for you and me to come out and test our skill against par. We are reserving tee times up to one week in advance and I encourage you to call ahead for groups of 2 or more players.

EVENTS

We have a number of events scheduled during the season and many of these are available to the general public. The following is a list of events currently scheduled for May and June. If you are interested in any of these events, contact the pro shop for more information.

May 10 - Red Tee Event for MEN, 9:00 AM Everyone is welcome - Click for details.

May 17 - Elks District Outing, 10:00 AM

May 24 - Blue Tee Event for WOMEN, 9:00 AM. Everyone is welcome - Click for details.

May 31 - Damon's Company Outing 9:00 AM

June 6 - Habitat for Humanity, 12:30 PM Proceeds to provide housing for those in need.

June 11 - Harvest of Gold - 8:30 AM Proceeds provide programs for at-risk youth.

June 14 - WHS Football Event. Proceeds assist Wilmington High School athletics.

June 21 - American Showa event. Proceeds assist Blanchester Schools. Course closed until 2:30 PM.

June 25 - Super Senior 9 Hole Scramble. Open to anyone 75 years and older.

June 28 - Clinton Kids & Cops - Proceeds provide school supplies for children in need.

With the exception of the June 21st event, we have tee times available for regular play during all of these events.

The ladies of The 797 Elks Golf Club, Inc. held a Red Tee Tournament on Saturday, April 19th. It was a fun tournament playing the new forward tees the course has added, giving them four sets of tees. Kathy Collins and Sandra Terry tied Ruthie Richardson and Toni Long for first place with scores of 71 in the two lady best ball event. In third place was the team of Mary Kay Vance and Sandy Mongold, shooting a 72.

Event prizes went to: Longest Drive Hole #2 Elizabeth Cox; Long Putt Hole #10 Sue Kurlas, and Closest to Pin Hole #14 Judy McCune. The ladies voted on their favorite red outfit and Kitty Bolton won a gift.

During the event, an English tea was served to the ladies by Ann Wolfrom of Sabina, formerly of England. The ladies enjoyed high tea, an assortment of cookies and tea sandwiches.
